Create More Space for Peace, Joy, and Resilience

This February, I'm hosting an overnight retreat called Create Space, a weekend to help women slow down and tune in through yoga, mindful creativity, and connection with one another in nature. But why is slowing down and creating more space in our lives important?

When we get caught in the cycle of overwork and overstimulation:

* Our nervous systems stay stuck in overdrive.

* We can become focused on achievement and consumption.

* We're always striving for something more, and feeling like there's never enough... of anything.

* We become disconnected—from ourselves, our lives, community, and from the natural world around us.

We don't have to live that way!

Instead, we can choose to live mindful, connected, and joyously creative lives!

Yoga, mindful creative expression, time in nature, and meaningful community--these practices are more than nice-to-haves. They are powerful tools that regulate our nervous system and help us live more calm, rewarding, and intentional lives.

But because we live in a world that constantly pushes us to move too fast, slowing down requires intention and the support of community. Letting go of perfectionism, comparison, and tired, "not enough" messages around our creative expression takes patience and space.
