Get Unstuck: Somatic Yoga Workshop

Have you noticed that sometimes, even with consistent strengthening, stretching, and movement practices, the same tight shoulder or persistent hip tension keep returning? Over time, stress, injury, repetitive movement, and long hours of sitting can teach the nervous system to stay stuck or braced. The muscles aren’t weak or short. They’re holding to protect you.

Somatic movement offers an approach to uncover the root of habitual and stubborn tension. It works gently with breath and awareness to teach the nervous system to relax and recognize when it’s safe to release. Through pandiculation—small, intentional contractions followed by slow, mindful releases—the body rebalances and learns ease from the inside out.

In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll explore simple, accessible movements that complement strength training and yoga practices. You’ll improve coordination and body awareness by moving slowly and listening closely. Leave feeling less stuck, better integrated, and ready to get back to doing what you love.
